Dear Members,

                           I would like first say it is an honor to be elected President of the YSA. I promise to do my best to make this a very enjoyable and successful term for us all. My goal is for us is to get more new members , educate the general public about the sport ,  training more in the public eye with out fear of reprisal  from showing this sports true potential as a very disciplined and safe canine sport . All too often it is easier to just train out of sight, but in the past I have found that we get a lot more positive attention and people ask a lot more questions when we train in plain sight. I recommend we utilize the out door training field that the city has offered (beside Takhini arena) to dog groups and we invite the general public to view, so we may have the opportunity to educate and spark interest in this sport. I would also recommend that our up coming Helper Seminar and Trial also be held for the general public to view. We need to take stand, stop worrying about the general public being offended or this sport will never take off in the Yukon.
